I can't believe that it is finally here! I remember the day Shelbie was born and I could not imagine my life without her around 24 hours a day. Well, here we are and she is getting ready to take the first big step into becoming a person on her own. I am getting ready for the big day here. We are having family dinner on Saturday night to celebrate Shelbie's favorites-music, food, people, you name it and Shelbie is the guest of honor. I am excited!! I also went and found a bucket to wear around my neck to catch my tears. I am so thrilled to have been able to walk this far with her and now we must watch the years of training come into action as she seeks the Lord for His will in her life. We are but a tool in the picture of his glory! I am so thankful all of our kids have accepted Christ and that we will be with them for eternity. What a blessing to know they want to do what he wants. I ask you to pray for her as she gets her diploma on Sunday and for this mamma who will be blubbering!!! hehehhe

"Where's the beef?"
A couple of weeks ago when Courtney got her braces off we went to Krispy Kreme Donuts to celebrate. I went through the drive through and got Courtney, then Laci and then Luke's order. Luke said, " I want 2 Beef" That is his standard answer for anytime we go out to eat. I said "Oh, I am sorry this is a donut place." He informed me that he does not like donuts that he wanted "2 Beef." I went ahead and ordered him a delicious, freshly baked glazed donut...I can taste them now(and the cholesterol, fat, sugar mmmmm). We got to the window to pay and he got out of his carseat and yelled into the drive through at the guy and said, "Why you have no beef? I don't like your donuts!!" The look on his face was amazing. Oh, and he did not eat his ooy gooy yummy donut-Laci did!

Prom for Shelbie

This weekend found us getting ready for Prom. My mom and my Aunt Bonnie made a tea party to have while Shelbie was getting dressed. It was a ball! We went to the Promenade and saw all the pretty dresses and fun tuxes. Luke went to his first sleepover and Laci had us to herself. He had great fun playing with my friend's kids. Courtney and I found ourselves at the vet yesterday morning-AGAIN-getting stitches removed from her horse's head. He would not let me do it. The vet has one up on me-Sedation!! Tim continues to work in all his spare time at trying to get our finances where we feel God wants them. Blessing on this special Sunday!

Where's Laci in all this snow Hoopla
FYI-Someone asked where Laci was during the snowstorm. She went to my mom's for the weekend to get a break from being a twin. Both her and Luke needed some alone time as they have been a little unloving at times to each other. We got her Sunday afternoon. It was great to have her home and both have seemed renewed and excited they aren't only's again!

Laci Jo and Hallie
Luke and Laci both really love babies! In fact, now that they have been with baby Hallie they play dolls a lot and he is getting good at playing the Dad part. This past week they both had burp cloths and a baby slung over their shoulders and each had a crib. I guess you have to play give and take as a twin-first they play rescue heroes and then they play dolls, then they dig in the sand and then they paint their nails, then they play spiderman and then they play polly pockets...Get the picture?
